Studies found that in 2015 around 3 million teenagers, ages 12 to 17, experienced at least one major depressive episode within the last year. It’s also been discovered that 6.3 million teenagers have struggled with an anxiety disorder at some point. Logically with those statistics, parents should naturally consider that their child may need a depression and anxiety test at some point in their teenage years–but that’s usually not the case.
