Stabilization

ViewPoint Center offers safe facilities where our patients can stabilize and rebalance. While not every patient needs this step, for those who do, our Medical Team determines how well medications are working and the potential side effects of each medication separately. Once our patients are stabilized we can start the assessment and treatment process.

Assessment

Assessment is about clarifying diagnosis. We begin using a range of assessment tests. We continue with individual and group therapy as well as residential and academic activities designed to give a more comprehensive and clear assessment.

Diagnosis

Nearly 75% of patients entering Viewpoint are misdiagnosed. Our diagnoses are focused on a full medication evaluation, diagnostic assessment, and then continual reassessment. Our comprehensive approach and team environment offers a clearer picture of how to help your child going forward.

Treatment

We work exclusively with teens aged 12 – 18  in a unique, individualized setting. Typically patients stay 5-6 weeks. The length of stay allows us to create a substantive diagnostic plan that best fits the patients needs for future success.

Partnering with Consistent Communication

ViewPoint Center has a team of medical, clinical, and nursing professionals all working together at one facility. To at a full 360 degrees allows ViewPoint professionals to adequately and efficiently assess the behaviors of your child. Our ability to see client’s struggles and successes in a 24/7 environment is one of the benefits our clinical assessment services.  We recognize this level of intensive care cannot be duplicated at home.

We also recognize that our Clinical Professionals back at the client’s home are integral to the continued success of our patients.  Our goal is to provide diagnostic clarity and treatment plan goals with the help of Clinical Professionals back home. We are all on the same team.

Our therapists and nurses communicate weekly with the Clinical Professionals back home in order to build a foundation of success and develop the treatment plan for stronger long-term outcomes.

Continual Care for Better Outcomes

When needed, we start with stabilization.  Once we have our clients more comfortable and balanced—whether that is days or weeks—then we can move into assessment.  This assessment includes a full battery of testing: neuropsychological battery, not just psychological and academic.

This comprehensive medical and clinical assessment in an environment where patients are comfortable provides us with better preliminary diagnoses.  After diagnosis, the same team of professionals continues to work with the patient in a treatment environment that brings in more “real-world” experiences.  Seeing a client in residential, academic, and social activities help us further assess and refine the diagnoses for stronger, more accurate treatment plans.

ViewPoint can admit clients quickly.  Typically clients admit within 24 hours of first contact.
